About Iatros

A Lagos fertility centre built around one couple at a time.

Iatros Specialist Hospital is a fertility clinic in Isheri, Lagos, located off the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. We provide comprehensive fertility care for individuals and couples, with patients from Ikeja, Magodo, Ojodu, Ibafo, Mowe and surrounding areas able to access specialist care in one location.

We opened in 2024 as a single gynaecology clinic and have grown into a full fertility centre in Lagos, with a dedicated fertility service, embryology laboratory and consultant-led maternity unit on the same site. From fertility assessment and diagnosis through treatments such as IVF, ICSI and IUI, our team provides coordinated care throughout your journey.

Fertility evaluation & treatment

Testing for both partners, then the simplest effective step first — ovulation induction and folliculometry included.

In-vitro fertilisation (IVF)

Eggs and sperm brought together in our own laboratory, with the resulting embryo transferred to the womb.

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)

A single sperm injected directly into an egg — the treatment of choice for most male-factor infertility.

Transport IVF

Your monitoring and egg collection happen near home; the embryology is done in our Isheri laboratory.

Vitrification of embryos

Ultra-rapid freezing that preserves surplus embryos for a later transfer, without a second stimulation cycle.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

Prepared sperm placed directly into the womb at ovulation — a gentler first step for selected couples.

What makes a good fertility clinic in Lagos?

Three things you can check before you pay anything: whether the embryology laboratory is on site or shared, whether you are assigned one named fertility specialist for the whole journey, and whether costs are given to you in writing before treatment starts. At Iatros the laboratory is in the building, your consultant does not change, and every quote is written down.

How much does IVF cost in Lagos, and can it be affordable?

Our indicative IVF and ICSI prices are published on each treatment page and confirmed in a written quote after your consultation. Affordable IVF treatment in Lagos usually comes from doing fewer, better-planned cycles — freezing surplus embryos so a second attempt needs no repeat stimulation, and not paying for add-ons that do not change your odds.

I already have a child but cannot conceive again. Can you help?

Yes — secondary infertility is one of the most common reasons couples come to us, and it is investigated the same way as any other: both partners tested, in a deliberate order. A previous pregnancy does not mean nothing has changed.

Do you treat fibroids and other gynaecological problems too?

We do. Our consultant gynaecologists in Lagos perform fibroid removal surgery (myomectomy), ovarian cyst removal, hysteroscopy and hysterectomy, fertility-sparing wherever possible — and will tell you when an operation would not help.

Can I have my pregnancy scans and delivery at Iatros?

Yes. Our antenatal clinic and private maternity unit in Lagos cover pregnancy scans through to birth, including planned and emergency Caesarean section, with a neonatal team on site.
